As Vice President, Alternative Series, Jason is charged with leading all development and current primetime programming in the alternative department of ABC, collaborating with the outside creative community, attracting talent, and forging key relationships within the entertainment industry.
Prior to ABC, Sarlanis served as Senior Vice President, Unscripted Development at Ryan Seacrest Productions where he managed the company’s largest franchise, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” as well as the Nickelodeon game show, “Webheads.” While at RSP Sarlanis developed new series for E!, FYI, and Gannett among others. Before joining RSP Sarlanis served as VP, Original Programming & Series Development for E! where he managed creative oversight on comedy staples, “The Soup,” and reality tentpole, “The Girls Next Door.” At E! he expanded the GND franchise leading to the network’s first ever spinoffs, “Kendra” and “Holly’s World” while concurrently developing “Fashion Police” and the biggest hit in the network’s history, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
Before joining E!, Sarlanis was a member of the Business Development team at animation studio, Soup2Nuts, and an instructor at the Boston University Institute of Television and Radio Production.
