Rachel Job is Director of Programming, HISTORY & H2, for A+E Networks® UK and is responsible for acquired and commissioned content for both channels across the UK, Scandinavia, Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.
Since joining the company in 2007, Job has acquired, commissioned and executive produced numerous hours of factual programming for HISTORY and was integral to the launch of sister channel MILITARY HISTORY in 2008. In 2013, new channel H2, which replaced MILITARY HISTORY, was added to her remit.
Job’s most high profile commissions to date are:Mud Men, presented by Johnny Vaughan and Steve Brooker, which was nominated for a Broadcast Digital Award; 2013’sShaun Ryderon UFOs,which was nominated for a Broadcasting Press Guild award;and GraveTrade,the most successful local commission on HISTORY date.
Other recent commissions includeGreatMartianWar,Pawn Stars UK and Pawn StarsSouthAfrica, locally-commissioned spin-offs of the top-rating US format. In September 2014 Rachel also ordered two new series ofFifth Gearto broadcast in 2015.
Job acquired MGM drama seriesVikingsfor HISTORY in the UK, Poland and Romania. The show’s linear UK TV premier in May 2014 delivered the highest rating broadcast ever on HISTORY in the UK and it was the top performing programme ever to air on a UK pay-TV factual channel.

Prior to working at A+E Networks UK, Job held the position of Head of Acquisitions and Marketing at indie distributor/producer 3DD Entertainment.
A+E Networks UK acquires over 600 hours of international programming each year and produces an additional 100+ hours of original commissions and co-productions to complement its varied factual slate.
