Mark Linsey is currently the deputy director of BBC Television and head of editorial standards for BBC TV. He is also controller of BBC Entertainment Commissioning, a role he has held since December 2008. As such he is responsible for the entertainment strategy for BBC One and BBC Two, and all digital output including BBC Three and Four. He commissions over 500 hours of original programming a year, which includes Strictly Come Dancing, The Apprentice, The Voice, Top Gear, The Graham Norton Show, Have I Got New For You, Masterchef, Comic Relief, BAFTA Film Awards, The Revolution Will Be Televised and Russell Howard's Good News Show. Mark joined the BBC as executive editor for entertainment in 2007 and prior to this he was head of entertainment at Tiger Aspect and Talent TV.
