Charlie Clare

Casting House

Charlie set up Casting House in 2010.   Having worked for over 10 years in factual television he wanted to set up a casting company that specialised in the difficult job of finding great people to feature in factual and factual entertainment programming.

Casting House has found over 300 contributors for shows on the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, TLC and the History Channel.   It has worked with renowned production companies in the UK and the US, including RDF, Optomen, Two Four and Leftfield Pictures.

The company also works with Development teams to bring their ideas to reality and has helped to secure 4 new commissions.

Charlie’s career started in the demanding world of daytime talk shows, before moving into Development and then becoming a Producer / Director.   He directed and produced the first episode of Don’t Tell the Bride, the BBC and international hit show, and was involved in defining the show’s structure.

Today Charlie is focused on building Casting House on its foundation of finding great TV contributors, whilst looking to work with independent production companies to get new talent and ideas commissioned.
