Caroline Perez

SVP, Development & Production

Destination America

Based in New York, Caroline Perez both develops and executive produces for Destination America, which joined the Discovery portfolio with its debut in May of 2012.  Her series include the top two performing shows on the network,Mountain MonstersandRailroad Alaska.  Perez joined Discovery Communications in 2009 as Director of Production for TLC, where she oversaw creative and production of hit series includingFour Weddings,Extreme CouponingandDC Cupcakes.

Prior to Discovery, Perez served as Director of Development & Production at VH1 in New York, executive producing series including multiple seasons ofCelebrity Fit ClubandWorld Series of Pop Culture.  Previously, she held several roles at NBC, both in New York and Burbank.  Perez began her television career as an NBC Page, later working in the East Coast Programming & Development Department, which oversawSaturday Night LiveandLate Night with Conan O’Brien, and moving on to the publicity department, where she was responsible for publicity strategies for series includingLaw & Order,L&O: Special Victims Unit,The Tracy Morgan ShowandLast Call with Carson Daly.

Perez is a graduate of Wesleyan University, where she received a B.A. degree in Film Studies.
