Chicken Soup For The Soul Entertainment / Crackle

Michael Winteris SVP of programming and development for Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment Studios which he launched with a slate of original programming including Vacation Rental Potential (A&E), Being Dad (Netflix), Going For Broke (Crackle) and the Emmy-nominatedHidden Heroes (CBS).  As Chicken Soup has become majority owner of Crackle, one of the leading AVOD services in the United States, he now oversees unscripted original programming across CSSE’s VOD platforms.

Michael was the first director of original programming for Outdoor Life Network, launching the network with shows like E-ForceFearless (Emmy nomination), and Wanted Ted or Alive. He then moved to the home category of Scripps Networks (Discovery) where he oversaw 30 series and specials for DIY and HGTV, including Blog Cabin, Under Construction, Yard Crashers and the America’s Most Desperate Landscapes partnership with the Today show.  He created the series Man Caves which ran over 150 episodes and Renovation Realities which aired for 15 seasons. 

Michael started his career as a freelance producer on Road Rules(MTV), Love Cruise (Fox), The Mole (ABC) and multiple projects for MTV and VH1.  He also served as VP for Leopard Films where he developed dozens of projects for Discovery, HGTV, Travel, Food, Speed, GSN, Ovation, A&E, and History.
